Mid-infrared adaptive thermal camouflage using a phase-change material coupled dielectric nanoantenna

Abstract Recently, camouflage technology has attracted researchers’ attention in a large variety of thermal applications. As special phase change material (PCM), vanadium dioxide (VO 2 ) is an excellent candidate for the studies conducted on technology. VO transition from insulator to metal with increase temperature. With regards this unique feature, can contribute dynamic properties design. In paper, PCM–dielectric based metamaterial mid-infrared adaptive nanoantenna designed perfectly mimic atmospheric windows. The property proposed structure obtained by using ultrathin interlayer embedded within grating. spectral responses are computed finite difference time domain method, and invisibility proved power calculations different regions.
